Scribus is a brilliant open source tool for professional quality layout design tool, which sits in the same space as tools such as QuarkXPress, InDesign or Publisher.
However, Scribus has a fairly steep learning curve and this can deter people from getting started. This tutorial is aimed at building knowledge of basic Scribus features and functions. Rather than being an introduction to design or design principles, it takes you through techniques such as;
- Grouping
- Alignment and distribution
- Working with text
- Working with colours
And includes some preparatory work in setting up useful Scribus preferences.
