This invited talk for #VALATechCamp journeyed from Ghost in the Machine to how we ensure cyber-physical systems evolve safely, sustainably and responsibly.

The inaugural #VALATechCamp, run by VALA, partnered with Linux Australia to deliver a rich and varied two-day conference. As part of the conference, I delivered a one-hour API workshop - Application Programming Interfaces. The workshop covered an introduction to HTTP protocol and ReST, and terminology associated with APIs.

After winning a competitive quote process, I was engaged to consult on the City of Greater Geelong's application to join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) in the field of design. Both the application and supporting website were delivered on a tight timeframe.

Vidica, a boutique unified communications consultancy, required a refresh of their web presence, which was built in WordPress. A new Theme was chosen and customised to fit client requirements and the client was delighted by the end result.

Led by a consortia of Skilling the Bay, Deakin University - Manufutures, Entrepreneurs Geelong and Enterprise Geelong, this project was initiated to map the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Geelong, and identify gaps and opportunities to drive further maturity.
